Our Team

Deacon Larry Oney, a permanent deacon for the Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans serves at Divine Mercy Parish in Kenner, Louisiana. Deacon Oney is the founder and president of Hope and Purpose Ministries and formerly served as the Executive Director for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal for the Archdiocese of New Orleans.

Deacon Oney is the author of several books; including, Amazed by God’s Grace (published by The Word Among Us Press), and Divine Mission: Discovering Your Hope and Purpose. He hosted his own radio show on Radio Maria, U.S., “Discovering Your Hope and Purpose” and has a podcast—The Spirit and Life podcast, which follows the prompting of the Holy Spirit to discuss topics and issues facing Christians across the world today.

In 2013, Andi had the privilege to attend the International Prophetic Consultation gathering of leaders in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the city of bread (Bethlehem, Israel), where she had a profound experience as she prayed in the Upper Room with leaders from all over the world for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. As a result of Andi’s Upper Room experience, she has answered the call to share with others the gift of the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Her first book, Extravagant Praise: Our History, Heritage, and Hope teaches us of the amazing things that happen both physically and spiritually when we praise God. In 2019, Word Among Us Press published Andi’s second book, Mary's Life in the Holy Spirit: A Model for Us. Andi Oney is an international teacher and evangelist with Hope and Purpose Ministries. She is a teacher by training with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision in the education field.
