MAKE OF ME A TILMA

O Most Holy Lord, You can do all things.

Make of me a tilma.

To show forth Your love to the the peoples of the
New World
You caused the image of Your Merciful Mother
to appear on the cloak of Juan Diego long ago.
If this rough-hewn fabric could attract
Your attention and be useful in Your plan,
Surely a willing soul like mine can serve Your
purpose as well.

Make of me a tilma.

Take from me all that would spoil or distort the
work of Your hand.
May Your Holy Spirit render me clean and ready
to receive so great a gift.
Impress upon me the image of Your pure and
holy Mother.
May her countenance, her presence, her
love be indelibly stamped upon me.

Make of me a tilma.

In this time when pagan culture threatens to engulf
Your people once more and destroy human life,
Let there be a fresh miracle of grace.
Send Your Mother for a new evangelization.
Upon the coarse fabric of my life,
draw this portrait so pleasing to You...
The image of Mary... the one who bears and brings forth Jesus.
May this beautiful Woman, clothed with the sun,
live out her triumph in me...
Crushing the Serpent, radiating Your mercy, and
leading to faith all those who gaze upon her.

Yes, Lord. Make of me a tilma.

HAZ DE MI UNA TILMA

O Santísimo Señor, Tú que haces todo.

Haz de mi una tilma.

Para que Tú amor brille por los pueblos del
Nuevo Mundo
Tú causaste que la imagen de Tú Madre Misericordiosa
apareciera en la capa de Juan Diego
Si una tela tejido tan áspero puede atraer
Tú atención y ser útil en Tú plan
Seguramente una alma dispuesta como la mía
puede servir Tú propósito bien.

Haz de mi una tilma.

Quita de mí, todo lo que pudiera dañar o deformar
la obra de Tú mano.
Que el Espíritu Santo pueda rendirme limpia
y lista para recibir Tú regalo.
Imprime en mí, la imagen de Tú Pura y Santa Madre
Que su serenidad, su paciencia y su amor
queden impresas en mí.

Haz de mi una tilma.

En este tiempo cuando culturas paganas amenazan
inundar Tú pueblo una vez más y destruir la vida humana.
Permite un nuevo milagro de gracia.
Manda a Tú Madre par una nueva evangelizacíon.
Sobre la fibra áspera de mi vida , dibuja ese retrato que
tanto te complace...
La imagen de María, la que dio vida y trajo a Jesús
al mundo.
Que esta bella mujer, vestida de sol
viva su triunfo en mi.
Aplastando la serpiente, radiando Tú misericordia, y
llevando a la fe a todos los que la contemplan.

Si Señor, Haz de mi una tilma.

Amen.
